Book Recommendation: Discipline is Destiny
Long-term readers may recall that I highly recommend The Daily Stoic by Ryan Holiday and Stephen Hanselman. Unsurprisingly, the book deals with stoicism and presents “366 meditation on wisdom, perseverance and the art of living”. I cannot recommend the book enough.
Ryan Holiday has a new book out: Discipline is Destiny which is the second instalment of a four-book series dealing with the four stoic virtues (courage, temperance, justice and wisdom).
I’ve just finished my initial read-through of the book (I’ll be reading it again in more detail next month), and I’m now going to dive back into Courage is Calling (the first instalment in the series). I think the book’s message is applicable to everyone, and I highly recommend you read it. I particularly recommend it to anyone who is struggling with a project—professional or personal.
I’ll be talking about this book more in the future with reference to personal productivity—something I have been thinking deeply about recently.
