June's (Birthday) Notebook

June is my birthday month, and I’m treating myself!

I’ve had a pack of Field Note Clandestine notebooks for some time, but couldn’t bring myself to actually use them. I love the concept of the books, I love the colour scheme and I love the tidbits about codes and cyphers including in each notebook. And now, sadly, they are out of print. But today’s the day I crack open the pack!

But that’s not all. Because it’s my birthday month I’m going hog wild and breaking out one of my dwindling supply of Blackwing 602 pencils.

(I haven’t waffled on about pencils yet—I’ve spared you that thus far—but these are lovely. There’s something about writing with a pencil that reminds me of filling out the old gold-coloured 1st edition character sheets of my youth. Nostalgia is fab!)
