The Queen
As a nation, we are diminished by her absence.
Queen Elizabeth II died yesterday. I am deeply and profoundly saddened by her death. I have immense respect for The Queen and her dedication to this country, the Commonwealth and all its people.
She was the embodiment of duty and service. She was the bedrock of the modern United Kingdom. She was the greatest Briton in my living memory.
